Motorola Unnamed Slate Out in the Open, Probably a 7-incher

September 21, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

There is no known name for this slate, nor any known specs. But there sure is an image. Here we have the first look of the unknown Motorola slate.

An image has appeared and it shows a sleeker new Moto tablet with angled corners like the Photon 4G, and a much thinner body than the 10 inch Xoom.

The image, which is kind of blurry, suggests a whole new design language. The new slate could be a seven-incher, based on the tablet size relative to other objects in the image.

The screen seems to be 16:9. This could as well be the fun and portable 7 inch slate from Motorola we expect to see by the end of this year.

Other sketchy details revealed by the image include a Honeycomb camera app, suggesting it runs Google’s OS, and two ports at the top left, presumably micro USB and micro HDMI.

There is no word on when the slate will be available. Well, there is no word on anything about the slate yet. We will let you know as soon as we find out.
