Aspire S3, the new Ultrabook from the stables of Acer, is something you should look forward to. The super-slim notebook unveiled at the IFA Berlin has now been spotted at the FCC gates, as filed by Qualcomm Atheros.

From the FCC fillings, the Aspire S3 has passed the Bluetooth and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi norms. A picture is also out.

The 17-mm thin laptop promises a 1.5-second time to wake up from sleep mode. It boasts a 13.3-inch LCD screen with 1366 x 768 resolution.

The device will be sporting the Intel’s ultra low voltage Core i3, i5 and i7 with either a 240 GB SSD or 320/500 GB hard disk.

Acer claims that the battery will back the laptop around 7 hours. The device comes enclosed in an aluminum-magnesium alloy case.

It will only take two seconds in connecting with a wireless network. It comes with a lot of entertainment supporting features too.

Believed to be a good competitor for the Apple’s MacBook Air, the Aspire S3 will be offered at an entry level price of 799 Euro (about $ 1,100). No details are yet out about the laptop’s US launch, though.

There are chances of the laptop to launch around September –October, as per the details revealed in IFA Berlin. Let’s wait to see more of it.
