Tecmo Koei Announces Dead Or Alive 5; Gameplay Trailer Included

September 17, 2011, By Christian Davis

One of the most fluid and fast paced fighters of our generation is back and many fans couldn’t be happier.  It’s been six years since we’ve seen a new Dead or Alive title (fighting, not volleyball) and we’re extremely happy to see Team Ninja back to fighting games. This extravagant franchise has been around for many years and though the game is fun and easy to play but hard to master, there is one primary reason why a lot of people like it. No, it’s not the gorgeous backgrounds or the interactive levels that you’ll be fighting on, it’s the women. Sexy and deadly female ninjas that have fans clamoring over their exaggerated three dimensional boob physics. Now we can see that in HD and possibly 3D! How lucky are we?

Will we see the last of Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball? Hopefully so. Team Ninja did take a departure from the fighting game genre but with the announcement of Dead or Alive 5, it should let fans know that they are still fully committed and passionate about fighting games.

The new title is said to get the players “more involved” thanks to the  more complex design of the characters. So this time around, players will be able to see their fighters sweat during combat for example and will add a “new layer of depth” to the series.

If the picture below is any idea of what we’ll see in the game, then Team Ninja knows that fans love anime women with big breasts who kick ass. Dead or Alive 5 is set to release in 2012 on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. We’ve got a gameplay trailer below so let us know what you think in the comments.
