Samsung fans in the US can now cheer up.  Sammy’s latest smartphone from the Galaxy line up, christened Galaxy W (Wonder), will soon be up for grabs. We spotted the device with model number Samsung T679 approved by the FCC and heading for T-Mobile.

If you remember, we had earlier brought to you the Galaxy chart in which the Samsung Galaxy W was revealed along with the S, R, M and Y models. The handset was introduced in IFA Berlin and has now got FCC clearance. We now expect a speedy arrival of the phone in the US.

The mid-range device boasts a 1.4 GHz single-core processor, a 512 MB RAM, a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution, dual cameras- a 5-megapixel shooter and a front-facing VGA and a 1500mAh battery.

The Android 2.3 Gingerbread phone offers 4GB internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB with micro SD cards. It supports Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Wi-Fi hotspot, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps connectivity and much more.

You can see the handset in two shades – black and white colors. There are no details about the launch and pricing of the smartphone from the company as yet.

But we feel the handset will soon be seen in action with an affordable price. Be ready to grab the smart device.
