HTC Vigor with 4G LTE Radio On Board Passes FCC Scrutiny; Verizon Roll Out Likely This October

September 9, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Lots have been discussed about the upcoming HTC offering called the Vigor. The Android smartphone has been commanding news space with the promise of bringing in some amazing features when it actually comes along. Though we haven’t heard as to when it would actually arrive riding the carriers, we have reasons to believe that the day of the roll-out isn’t too far away.

The HTC Vigor was spotted passing through the FCC gates and that gives us hopes of seeing the device in the US markets soon.  The smartphone passed FCC scrutiny with 4G LTE radios on board.

As expected, the phone will come to the US on Verizon’s network.

That could well mean that the Motorola Droid Bionic will need to fight for some amount of acceptance.

Though the FCC saw the HTC Vigor with 4G LTE  capabilities, nothing has been mentioned with regard to the other specs. However, as you all know, a leak had brought the fact to the fore that the phone might come with a 4.3 inch 1280×720 display.

Other purported specs include a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and an 8MP rear camera.

It has already been reported that the device could sport similarities with the HTC Thunderbolt in size and shape. The kickstand however would be missing.

The Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread device might as well be seen as the first HTC Beats device.

We expect the phone to come unto us this October. Are you planning to get one?
