It isn’t just the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray that’s gearing up to make the company’s fans in the UK happy. A while ago we had told you that the Xperia Ray is set to arrive on O2 and Vodafone in a few days from now. We now hear that the company’s Xperia Arc S is also set to be in your palms in a short while. Your wait will probably end on 26th of this month, if you are willing to pre-order the device now.

The successor of the original Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is now available for pre-order in the UK at Clove, with an expected availability date of September 26th.

For those who do not know, the device is the upgraded version, performance wise, of the Xperia Arc. The processor jumps in capability to 1.4 GHz, apparently giving a 25 percent boost. This enables the camera application to run that much more rapidly and web pages to render 20 percent quicker.

Otherwise, the device, which is available in Midnight Blue and Pure White hues, is same as its predecessor. It sports a 4.2 inch touchscreen, Mobile Bravia Engine and an 8.1 megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash.

It has a 512MB RAM, 8GB storage and microSD expansion up to 32GB. Connectivity options include WiFi and Bluetooth and the device runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S could be all yours if you are willing to pay £349.99 ($555 US), or £358.39 ($569 US) including shipping charges.

Do you want to own an Xperia Arc S so much that you will pre-order for it, SIM-free? Get the Midnight Blue model here and the and Pure White model here. Or will you wait for the carriers to offer the device?
