September 6, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Nine months after the device was first announced at the CES, we have stumbled upon an official confirmation regarding the arrival of the Motorola Droid Bionic. We had earlier come across a company tweet which dropped hints, but it was removed soon after being posted. For all those who have been waiting for the monster, September 8 is the big day.

Verizon Wireless has posted a 31 second teaser video, in Korean, of the much-anticipated Droid Bionic. The teaser clip shows a girl fighting with robots and in the end, the date “2011.9.8”. If you would remember, we had brought to you an earlier teaser which said the release was due September. The latest one has the exact date.

We had also brought you a leaked user guide which meant that the  release was imminent. There were also  rumors that the device will be launched on August 4, but that apparently did not happen.

Now after the delay and a model redesign, the Droid Bionic features a 4.5 inch touchscreen display, an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash which can record 1080p video plus a front facing camera for video chatting.

On the inside, there is a 1 GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB RAM and 32GB of built in storage in addition to a MicroSD card slot which can take up to 32GB cards.

And of course, the device comes out of the box running Google Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS.

All you fans out there, watch the video and let us know if you will buy the Droid Bionic.
