HTC Flyer Android Honeycomb ROM Leaks; Download Now

September 5, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The 7-inch HTC Flyer was launched with some awesome features on board – mainly the Sense UI and the Scribe pen functionality. But many were not exactly satisfied with it, because the highly-modified version of the Android Gingerbread was not the tablet-specific Honeycomb after all. If you are one of those people, then things definitely seem to be getting better for you. A leaked Honeycomb ROM for the Flyer is now available online.

HTC has packed the Honeycomb for their next release and the Flyer’s big brother, the 10 inch HTC Jetstream for AT&T in the US. Now that the Honeycomb update has leaked for the Flyer, the company might as well give an upgrade for the tablet itself.

The Honeycomb update seems to be just a leaked beta. You have to be careful while loading it as you will lose the root and may not be able to get it back, and there is a risk of voiding the warranty as well.

For all those who are too eager, the Honeycomb ROM is now available at MoDaCo. Are you going for it? Or would you rather wait for an official version which might be available next week?
