Motorola Mobility has announced Motorola Pro+, ‘a personal assistant that fits right in your pocket’. The smartphone is an updated version of Motorola Pro, which was announced in February at the Mobile World Congress. So there is another Gingerbread QWERTY handset from Motorola coming our way.

The smartphone runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and is powered by a 1 GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM. It has an internal memory of 4 GB and the microSD card slot supports up to 32GB memory card. The display specifications include a VGA 3.1 inch display with 640 x 480 resolution and scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass on board.

It has a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. Its connectivity features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, aGPS and 3G mobile hotspot capabilities which allow users to connect to up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices and laptops. The device has a 1600 mAh battery that provides up to 8 hours of talktime and 13 days of standby.

Motorola Pro+ is also preloaded with the latest Google mobile services including Google Maps 5.0 with navigation and Google Talk.

The Motorola Pro+ is built for people who want to take the pressure off and consolidate their work and personal lives with an efficient smartphone that acts like a personal assistant.

The device is expected to hit the Asian and European markets in October. There has been no word on pricing details, though.

Wait a bit to find out if Motorola Pro+ works and plays as hard as you do.
