Samsung Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y Bada 2.0 Smartphones Show Up Early; Heads for IFA Berlin [Video]

It seems like Sammy has a bunch in their IFA kitty. Info revealed a tad early gives us enough reason to wait to see what will happen when the company takes the podium at Berlin in a while. We hear Samsung is ready with three smartphones in the Wave series. The three handsets – Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y – come powered by the Bada 2.0 platform and will come under the arc lights when curtains go up on the much awaited IFA Berlin.

The Samsung Wave 3 is a chic smartphone and the hottest of the trio. The device boasts a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, a 1.4 GHz processor, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi Direct and so on.

The smartly designed anodized aluminium body, smarter multitasking, and seamless push notification make it alluring. It comes with dual cameras – a 5 megapixel shooter with LED flash at the back and a VGA snapper in the front. The sleek handset measures 125.9 x 64.2 x 9.9 mm and weighs 122 g.

Meanwhile, the Wave M sports a 3.65-inch HVGA TFT LCD tempered glass screen, an 832 MHz chip, a aluminum metallic body, dual cameras- a 5 megapixel snapper with LED flash at the rear and a VGA in front.

The first ChatON equipped smartphone supports other features like Social Hub, streamline messaging feeds, fast web browsing, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC (optional) and much more. It looks like the Wave M will be a mid-tier device among the three.

The Wave Y, perfect for beginners, comes with a stylish metallic hairline body, a 3.2-inch HVGA TFT LCD screen and a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash.

It also supports ChatON, Social Hub, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi Direct and so on. You can easily personalize the features through the Live Panel, Lock Screen and Folder management and enjoy music on the Music Hub – a portable music manager.

The trio brings to the fore the much-touted Bada 2.0 OS. The phones will put on display the many attractive features that the OS will carry along with it, and they will like Bada multitasking, ChatON, an HTML 5 capable web browser, app shortcuts and voice commands.
