Samsung Galaxy W to Come Wearing Silver and Black Hues; IFA Berlin Reveal Planned

August 30, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Remember, we had told you about Sammy’s unique naming style they were adopting for their mobile devices. Samsung had announced four Galaxy smartphones along with its new naming strategy that plays well with alphabets. One of the phones was Galaxy W, with W standing for Wonder. The latest is that the phone, which was expected to come only in black, would arrive in a white hue. That’s what an image that has surfaced hints at.

Well, it is not totally white, there is a bit of silver and black, as per the photo spotted on a Vietnamese website reveals. For those who haven’t heard much on the Galaxy W, let us tell you the device will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will be powered by a 1.4 GHz processor.

The smartphone will feature a 5 megapixel camera and a front facing VGA snapper. A 3.7 inch WVGA touchscreen, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 1500 mAh battery are the other features being spoken of.

UK carrier Three is said to have started stocking the ‘little brother of the increasingly popular Samsung Galaxy S II’ already. The device is expected to be revealed along with the other phones of the same range, at the upcoming IFA 2011 in Berlin.

Let’s wait to see if the smartphone is actually a high quality, strategic model, perfect for those seeking balance between style and performance. What do you think?
