Motorola Droid Bionic Teaser Video Surfaces

August 26, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

For those of you who are keen on the happenings around the Motorola DROID Bionic, the teaser video of the device is now here for you on YouTube. And even though it does not say much about the phone, the female nemesis of robots is pretty to watch.

The promo materials for the Bionic were released recently. Now the video posted online gives support to the rumored September release of the device.

The specs of the device have been floating around for quite some time now. To recall, the LTE device is powered by a 1 GHz OMAP4430 dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3.4. It comes with 1 GB RAM, a 4.3 inch qHD screen, an 8 megapixel camera on the rear capable of recording 1080p video, a front facing VGA camera, HDMI 1.4, and Webtop capabilities.

Motorola Mobility’s CEO Sanjay Jha said that the Motorola Droid Bionic will be the first LTE or Long Term Evolution equipped Android smartphone of Verizon Wireless. Current Android Smartphones with LTE like the HTC Thunderbolt, Samsung Droid Charge and LG Revolution all have single-core processor, which is theoretically slower than the Droid Bionic’s dual core Texas Instruments OMAP4 processor.

A herd of rumors past, we are still waiting for the device to show screen. Let’s see if the device is as exciting as the video.
