This Portal Short Film Will Have Your Jaw Drop

We all love Portal. It’s got a special place in all our videogame obsessed hearts and it’s not going anywhere any time soon. The title has inspired people everywhere to make cakes, posters, portal guns, and even short films. This film in particular is one that needs to be recognized.

The production quality of this film rivals the multi-million dollar big budget movies we see everyday. The difference is that this videogame based film doesn’t fail to impress like the majority of the ones we see in theaters.

This is nearly 7 minutes of brilliance.

Titled “Portal: No Escape,” the film is dark, gritty, and looks superb. There is essentially no talking in the film but emotions are portrayed so well and you feel sorry for the subject trying to escape the secret compound. Something we don’t see very often in videogame films.

There was a lot of time put into this film and it’s definitely shown here. They didn’t cheap out on anything and hopefully we can see more of this film because you never want it to end. Why is this movie so good? Simple, it sticks to the core material.

Here’s the movie below. Let us know what you think when you’ve finished watching it for the third time.
