A lot has already been written about the Thrill 4G, and you might have been waiting to pick one up as soon as it arrives. Here’s something that will want to make you rush to those sales counters.  We hear retailer Target is set to bring in the phone for just $80 – on contract.

The device was spotted in a Target circular bearing a price-tag of $80 with a two-year contract or with a qualifying update, or $550 off-contract. We can’t confirm the launch date, though the device was said to be delayed until September 4 after the first announcement came about.

The AT&T LG Thrill 4G, also known as LG Optimus 3D, runs Android 2.2 Froyo and comes with a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor. It supports dual channel RAM and boasts 16 GB of memory (8 GB on board and 8 GB micro SD card).

The device offers a glasses-free 4.3-inch stereoscopic 3D display, dual 5 megapixel cameras with autofocus LED flash, HDMI output, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and DLNA support.

The device had a previous price of $99.99 on a contract from AT&T. This $80 promotional offer will be valid between August 21st and 27th at Target stores. We just hope there will be no further delay for the phone to reach your hands.
