HTC Droid Incredible 2 to Roll Out in White

August 19, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

White is in vogue nowadays, ever since the white iPhone changed the markets along with the white BlackBerry (there’s also talk of an upcoming white Galaxy S II). Another addition to the whiteness is HTC’s Droid Incredible 2, which will be brought forth by Verizon Wireless.

The smartphone will be available at Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile specialty stores on Sunday, August 21. You can even order it online in BestBuy.com. The smartphone, apart from the white paint, will be carrying everything the same as the DROID Incredible 2 that was launched in April.

It will be running the Android 2.2 Froyo (which is a bummer, because most of the other handsets run the Android 2.3 Gingerbread) along with a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 768MB of RAM under the hood. A 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display, with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, can be found as well as Mobile Hotspot capability and an 8-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats.

The other features are the usual Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G and Bluetooth. The white Droid Incredible 2 has a price tag of $149.99, with a new, two-year contract.

Are you willing to go for it?
