Motorola Droid Bionic Retail Price Surfaces in Screenshot

Aha! Here’s the star of the urban legend again- The Droid Bionic. Well, it seems like the phone’s going to get rid of its ‘legend’ tag and get real – soon.

Word is going around that the Bionic has touched down in some of Verizon’s outlets.  The rumors are strengthened by the screenshot shown above that has been seen floating around.

Motorola Droid Bionic, aka XT875, is seen with a unit price of $587. The number is the full price without any sort of contract subsidy or rebate taken off, so you can expect the handset to settle down on shelves for a much lower price (probably around $300 , given that this would be Verizon’s premier 4G LTE gadget).

The specs are sufficient to demand a high dollar amount, with a 1GHZ OMAP4440 dual-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM hiding under the hood. The device should be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, while sporting an 8-megapixel camera with a front-facing VGA fixed-focus camera beside the 4.3-inch qHD display.

We have no release date on this puppy, but the way the wind is blowing, we can expect the Bionic to be released around August 26th. The date’s pretty early when compared to the September timeframe which Motorola’s Sanjay Jha had commented earlier.

Since launch dates are always jumpy, we can’t be sure of anything until the official word’s heard. Anyway, are you going for the Bionic with the full price?
