Dell Vostro 306 All-in-One Desktop Makes an Appearance on Support Page; Pulled as Soon As It Surfaced

August 17, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Dell has not announced Vostro 360, its next all-in-one computer. But that does not mean we will have to wait for them to make it public.  Details of the device are now out in the open and going by the specs, we are in for a charmer of a desktop.

We hear Vostro 360 has all the features you look for in an all-in-one computer for personal use.  The specs of the computer have been leaked, thanks to a PDF file that inadvertently appeared on the Dell Support website with the setup and features information. No need to look for that now as the info has been pulled already, making it clear that the reveal was a mistake.

The desktop is believed  to be built on the same platform as Dell’s Inspiron One desktop. Likely to be powered by Intel i3, i5, or i7 processor with an h61 Express chipset, there are also rumors that or it could even be a Pentium dual core. There is the choice of an integrated Intel graphics card. It could also be a machine that supports discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT.

Other features likely are an optional touchscreen and a built-in webcam. The system will support up to 8GB. The camera has a privacy cover and a camera activity light.

The Vostro 360 might also come with a microphone, an optical drive slot on the side, power button, activity light  and three multiple ports on the back side.  Dell seems to have also thrown in a power connector, VGA-out connector, network connector, line-out connector, 4 USB 2 connectors, 8-in-1 card reader, 2 USB connectors on the side, headphone and microphone jacks, and volume and brightness buttons.

There is no word as yet on the price or release date. However, going by the rumored specs, we are willing to wait.
