Verizon Parchment Leaks with Alleged Releases of LTE Devices

August 5, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

As this year races towards the 2012 mark, we hear a lot of gadgets are being lined up for take off. A screenshot of upcoming Verizon releases has leaked out and it looks like a herd of LTE devices are on their way.

The first dual-core LTE device from Verizon, the Motorola Droid Bionic is slated to enter the market on September 8th. This could be true, for the timeframe matches with what we have heard from Motorola over the past few days.

The launch will be followed by the HTC Vigor (successor of the HTC Thunderbolt) entry on October 5th and then the LG Revolution 2, a couple of weeks later on October 20th. A scheduled November release speaks of a Samsung Galaxy Tab P8 which will be sporting Verizon’s 4G LTE radio.

The Droid launch on September 8 might be accompanied by the release of Research in Motion’s 4G BlackBerry Curve. This is a bit of a surprise because we have been hearing about the BlackBerry Bold and a couple of new Torches but nothing on the 4G Curve side.

There’s also a line dedicated to the new BlackBerry Playbook, but we haven’t got wind of its release specifics. The September 8 release line-up also includes the Verizon version of the Samsung Galaxy S 2: the 4G Samsung Stratosphere.

With all these Android release dates floating around, the only ones that we missed out are the specifics of the iPad 3 and iPhone 5. But keeping in mind Apple’s tight security character, we are not surprised.

So quite a lot to look forward to in the coming months. Which device has grabbed your attention?
