LG Thrill Launch Faces Two Week Delay

July 30, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

It seems like the LG Thrill riding on AT&T won’t be getting here anytime soon. There wasn’t any official confirmation from AT&T, but we were hoping it to crash the markets by the first week of August .

Now, from the rumor going around, we won’t be seeing it till mid-August, possibly by the 21st. Those of you who are tired of waiting can go ahead and pre-order it at The Shack till August 15th.

We haven’t received any word on the reasons for delay, and the push up is a bummer. All that 3D experience we have been itching for will be late by 2 weeks.

The LG Thrill 4G is also known as the LG Optimus 3D, which is the first glasses-free 3D smartphone on Ma Bell. The device has got a nice line-up of specifications, starting with a dual-core OMAP4 processor from Texas Instruments.

The phone supports dual channel RAM and 8GB of on board storage memory. It features a 4.3-inch stereoscopic LCD screen as well as dual 5-megapixel stereoscopic cameras for 3D video and photo capture.

The handset will be coming with access to LG’s special 3D store called LG 3D Space. True to its name, the phone is expected to thrill the users with its 3D experience.

The delay is only two weeks, but we cant wait. Are you going to pre-order it or wait till it gets on shelves?
