We aren’t sure if this will excite you big time. We, however, are head over heels even as we take a relook at what we got to see a while ago. Ok, let’s cut the suspense. Pictures of what is said to be an Atrix 2 is out – and they indeed look tempting.

We weren’t sure whether a next-generation version of the Motorola Atrix was in the works. But the pictures that surfaced in China and reproduced by UnwiredView tells us a different story. The Atrix 2 is indeed coming – let’s make ourselves believe so.

Going by the overall form factor, size and textured back, the pictures we see resemble the first generation Atrix. And, that makes us mull over the possibility of a second iteration.

There’s a huge lot of images (as you can see the gallery posted alongside), but no clear picture has emerged as to what all will be in the innards.

Though speculations talk of Moto opting for the Nvidia Tegra Series of system on a chip (SoC) as in the case of the original Atrix, we are yet to have a confirmation on that.

The images, however, elaborate on the other features. So, if this is the Atrix 2, it will sport an 8 megapixel camera, 1080p video recording resolution, curved display and will run Android OS.

One absentee here is the MotoBlur logo. Another aspect the pictures talk about is that the device will head for AT&T.
