Motorola Atrix 4G Gingerbread Update Officially Posted for Download

July 23, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Motorola Atrix 4G owners can rejoice. The company has officially posted the Gingerbread update to their support site for AT&T users.

You can download the update manually and install it or you could wait for the company to release it through the air. You will get the version 4.5.91 rather than the leaked version 4.5.40 we saw sometime back.

In addition to getting Android 2.3.4, the company has thrown in updates to the UI, music app, gallery etc. You will get some upgraded icons and will have a fresh app tray view too.

A better web browsing experience is promised with the new Firefox 4.0 in the device. The MotoBlur skin’s updated version includes a dock and organized app tray.

Other features include full 1080p video playback, and the ability to dismiss one notification at a time from the notification tray. The update also allows you to install 3rd party apps so you can now click the unknown sources tab in settings to download apps like the Amazon App Store.

You can get the downloading details here. Install it and let us know your opinion.
