BlackBerry fans might be interested in this piece of news. We found a leaked bit of news that the BlackBerry Bold 9930 might be headed to Verizon.

An image of the Bold 9930 sporting a Verizon splash screen has been spotted in the wild. This device is not that different from the Bold 9900.

The latter is the model name for the GSM version while our subject is of CDMA version. Both these handsets are RIM’s first ever 4G devices but what we need to see is whether they are capable of being on par with the other high-enders like the iPhone 4, Samsung Droid Charge, HTC ThunderBolt or the Motorola Droid 3.

Specifications-wise, you get a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor coupled with 768MB of RAM and 8GB of onboard memory. The Bold 9930 has a 5 megapixel camera which is capable of shooting HD video (720p).

It’s got a 2.8-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 640 x 480 and a pixel density of 287dpi. The handset supports NFC and has an in-built compass, proximity sensor and an accelerometer.

There’s a microSD memory card slot which can be expanded up to 32GB.With such on-board features the phone is certainly high end, but it remains to be seen whether they are up to compete with the other high rise smartphones.

With such a doubt lingering in the air, we wonder how Verizon will price it in the market. You will see the handset soon, so we leave you to judge it more.

But let us know your opinions below.
