July 20, 2011, By Christian Davis

If you weren’t a fan of last year’s GoldenEye reboot on the Wii last year, you may want to look into Activision’s upcoming title, GoldenEye: Reloaded. The new HD venture into the world of James Bond isn’t just  a reboot of the same levels, it’s an expansion of the original that uses many of the familiar locations, but adds new areas and gameplay.Of course a reboot will have improved visuals and this title will also run at 60 FPS.

“We are beyond ecstatic to debut GoldenEye 007: Reloaded to the millions of fans who have been clamoring for it to arrive on Sony and Microsoft home consoles,” said David Oxford, Executive Vice President at Activision Publishing.  “And now with full PlayStation Move functionality, 007 fans all around the world can play the game in full HD in more ways than ever before.”

“Promising to be one of the most immersive and interactive Bond games to date, this is an outstanding opportunity for PlayStation fans to experience one of the most iconic and action-packed shooters in an all new way with PlayStation Move and the Sharp Shooter peripheral,” said Rob Dyer, Senior Vice President, Sony Computer Entertainment of America.  “By bringing together GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, and PlayStation Move’s Sharp Shooter, we are continuing to expand the new world of motion-based entertainment appealing for hardcore fans and only possible on PlayStation.”

Great to see they’er so positive about the upcoming Bond title. One of the best things about GoldenEye 64 was the multiplayer. Activision hasn’t forgotten about that at all. Expect 16 player gun fights with new maps and game modes in this game. There are even separate Mi6 Ops missions that will have players completing different assault, stealth, defensive, and elimination missions. These missions are different from the main campaign and should add a lot of replay value to the title.

GoldenEye: Reloaded is set to release this fall on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Here’s the trailer below. Let us know what you think.
