If you are a regular at Amazon, this could have everything in it to excite you. Budget shoppers who look for good value for their small amount of dollars will find the ViewSonic VB730 tablet now shipping from the retailer’s racks.

With a price tag that has $229 written on it, the ViewSonic VB730 is absolute value for money. Don’t you think so? For that amount of dollars, you get to play with a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and 8GB of internal flash storage. Interestingly enough, the tablet also doubles up as an eReader too.

Now, that makes it a better option than the Barnes & Noble Nook Color, and comes cheaper than the Nook Color that retails currently for $249. Features of the Android 2.2 -driven slate would also include 512MB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, RiteTouch pen tech, a VGA resolution front camera, HDMI output, and a microSD card reader. Further, the battery runs for eight hours per charge.

This slate is not for customers who are looking for iPad killers.  So do not have any such high hopes in mind when you pick this budget device. Performance is not so bad either. For that amount of money, you won’t be disappointed.
