AT&T to Carry Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play had hit the shelves in May on Verizon. Now it’s gearing for a comeback on AT&T.

Back in February, we had shown you what it looked like, prior to its release, when we had got a hands-on at the MWC. The device won’t be sporting any noticeable changes when it rides AT&T later this year.

The only thing we heard is that it will be a “4G” / HSPA+ phone and will come in a “stealth blue” color. Another sweet thing is the two great games you get with it; Dungeon Defenders 2 and NOVA 2.

The Phone’s launch caused some serious adrenaline pumping in gamers. The slide-out console device merges smartphone features with gaming sessions.

The specifications favour gaming with a 4-inch multi-Touch LCD display and 854 x 480 resolution. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor with Qualcomm Adreno 205 graphics.

A cool design, smooth UI and graphics have made the phone a hit with gamers. AT&T hasn’t let out the launch date or the price.

If you are an avid gamer wanting a smartphone, then the Xperia Play is the one for you.
