Samsung Hercules Android 2.3 Smartphone Arriving this September 26th

July 11, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

If you would remember, the month of May that went past us had brought in some info on a Samsung device called the Hercules. However, nothing was heard about the smartphone ever since.  We all were kept waiting by Sammy, and it now seems the wait is coming to an end.

We get to hear that the Hercules is all geared up to roll out this September itself. The date being mentioned is September 26th. Remember, that is what a leaked T-Mobile roadmap had hinted earlier on.

Those who had missed the May detailing of the device would be curious to know what all the Hercules will carry along with it. So here goes:

  • Android 2.3 OS
  • 4.5 inch screen
  • 480 x 800 Super AMOLED Plus display
  • 16GB internal ROM
  • 1GB internal RAM
  • Expandable microSD memory up to 32GB
  • Qualcomm 1.2GHz dual-core APQ8060
  • 8 MP camera with 1080p video capture
  • Front facing camera for video chat
  • NFC Support
  • 42Mbps HSPA+ capable
  • Micro USB transfer for HDMI
  • 5.16 x 2.76 x 0.37 inches

The Samsung Hercules is rugged to the core, with strong capabilities making it withstand shock and inclement weather.  You would now want to know what’s on the price tag, right? We guess we would have to wait a tad more before we zero in on that.

With September not too far off, we would wait to be treated with something good from Sammy, yet again. Stay tuned.
