Super Mario Bros. Record for Lowest Possible Score

July 10, 2011, By Nicholas Davis

Super Mario Bros. came out back in 1985 on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). To this day it is still being played either by someone who wants to remember the frustrations or someone who is out to beat the world record with a speed run. Speed runs are old news now though. If you’re unfamiliar with what a speed run is, a speed run is going through a game as fast as possible without dying. The current record for a Super Mario Bros. speed run in 5 minutes flat. What’s new right now is getting the lowest possible score while completing the game as fast as possible without dying. This Super Mario Bros. master completed the game in an impressive 8 minutes with an unbelievable low score of only 600 points.

His YouTube account name is “NotEntirelySure” and he completed SuperMarioBros. with only 600 points. He dodged every coin and only had to step on a goomba a few times to complete some pretty challenging jumps. The way he dodges the coins in world 8-1 is literally inhuman. Anyone who dodges Hammer Bros. like that in World 8-3 deserves a medal. “NotEnirelySure” is truly amazing at Super Mario Bros. Watch the video below for yourself and see if you can beat his low score and time.
