Sony Xperia Pro to Come Only by Q4

July 7, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Sony’s Xperia Pro seems to be evading us. The device’s launch has yet again been postponed to the Q4 of 2011.

The smartphone was set to launch sometime in the summer. But in a recent announcement given in SoMobile, which gained Sony’s confirmation, the phone won’t be available until October or so.

We saw the phone earlier this year during its launch at the Mobile World Congress. It looked pretty cool with its 3.7-inch touchscreen, Android 2.3 and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It’s also got an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, a front-facing video-call cam, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and up to 32GB of expandable memory.

If you are dying to get your hands on a Pro you can pre-order it for £349.99 SIM free. It’s a pity that a phone with such good specs is so out of reach of our hands.

As we know a lot of other brands are steaming up the launch of their smartphones after summer, the Xperia Pro is bound to find the track quite full when it comes out.

Get a look in at the video for what to expect.
