Droid Bionic to Ride on Verizon in August

July 5, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The Droid is again in the news. The last we heard of the Droid Bionic is a speculation as to whether the device exists or not. But now we have a morsel of news for you.

The Droid Bionic may in fact surface out next month and that too on Verizon Wireless. If this bit of news proves right, the timing would fit nicely with what we told you a few days back.

It was at the Consumer Electric Show, earlier this year that the Droid first showed face. Since then, crossing a bridge of seven months should have accounted to better hardware components along with updated software.

It is expected to pack the Android 2.3 Gingerbread, so worries on having updated software can be put to rest. As we told you earlier, it could be powered by a1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 AP20H Dual Core processor and pack a 1GB DDR2 RAM.

But theses are our expectations and we need to see firsthand what it has in store when released next month.

And do keep yourself alert, for the launch date is susceptible to changes, as any unforeseen event could veer the Droid off course. But we are pretty hopeful of that not happening.

The 4th of August, currently, do seem to hold the doors open for the Bionic. So stay with us for more snippets on the emerging Droid Bionic.
