HTC Mozart Gets a Covert Upgrade; No Details Forthcoming as Yet

June 29, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Are you the proud owner of an HTC Mozart? If yes, have you got any update to your device as yet? There are flyers up everywhere hinting at a mysterious firmware update on the Windows 7 powered phone.

We don’t know what’s it about and neither HTC nor Microsoft has spelled out any statement about the probable update. We guess that non-carrier-branded models might be the first to get the code, although what it does to the phone is yet to be revealed.

If you don’t remember, we had earlier updated you on various leaks of the HTC Mozart, before its launch. The Windows 7 handset is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm QSD 8250 CPU and packs 512 MB of ROM and 576 MB of RAM along with 8GB of extra storage.

It’s got a 3.7 inch WVGA SLCD touchscreen and an 8 megapixel camera with auto focus and Xenon flash.

From what we get to learn, German users apparently have no issues in accessing the update. So we guess the rest of the world should get some notifications in their phones soon.

We are itching to know what changes the upgrade will bring in. In case you have got one, then do let us know.
