Sprint Motorola Android Gingerbread QWERTY Smart Phone Image Spotted in the Wild

June 28, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

It’s been some time since we heard something solid from the house of Sprint. The carrier seems to be making up for the silence with info flowing out on a yet to be shown device that is in the works. The device, made by Motorola, is the new smartphone we just stumbled upon – and gosh, it looks enticing.

An upcoming Android-powered Motorola handset has been spotted in the wild in the form of a leaked image. The QWERTY phone pictures give us the feel of a follow-up to the Motorola XPRT in the works. However, going by the leaked image  we guess the new device could come with a curvier form factor.

The device is rumored to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and we expect Sprint’s 4G WiMAX network support when it actually rolls out riding the carrier’s network.

But then, the details end there, because that’s all we know about the phone. That also means that we may have to wait a tad more to zero in on the specs.

We are also striving to hear from Sprint as to when the Motorola smartphone will actually launch. Pricing details too are yet to come by.

Now that the image, dug out by folks at PopHerald, has shown up, we expect other details too would follow suit. Until then, stay with us.

In the meanwhile, check out the leaked picture (posted above) of the Moto smartphone that is raring to latch on to Sprint. Tell us what all do you expect the phone to carry along with it.
