Dell Venue Pro Update Rolling Out Next Month

June 28, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Dell Venue Pro, when it was launched, had us left immensely impressed with its looks and hardware. But then, after a slew of stability issues and poor WiFi connectivity, its reputation dimmed considerably. Now, six months into the launch, Dell is all geared up to release an update for the Windows 7 powered handset.

A tweet makes it clear that the update  will fix  the stability issues. Allegedly, much of the phone’s problems have arisen from the SD slot. There have been suggestions on swapping out the card, although a risk of invalidating the phone’s warranty is a possibility.

From what we hear, the update has been quite impressive initially. As of now, T-Mobile is not yet ready to distribute the update, but Dell has been reported to post the fix on some Venue Pros which came for service. With the upgraded software in, some users are happy with the result.

Keep your Dell Venue Pro ready, and we will tell you just when it hits the air.
