Samsung SCH-i405 QWERTY Slider Smartphone Images Leak; Resembles Epic 4G

Verizon customers, who are on the prowl for a smartphone, can look forward to a new product from the network company. We just stumbled upon a few  images that remind us of Sprint’s Epic 4G Galaxy. But it is, in fact, Samsung’s SCH-i405, a QWERTY slider smartphone.

The folks at PocketNow have dished out the images, but nothing much is known about the device yet –  apart from the fact that it’s already earned the Bluetooth and WiFi certification. It’s waiting to get the nod from FCC, so it may be quite some time before we hear of its release.

We are not sure of its specs, as of now, and we do think it to be a mid-range device, and might just fall short of the Epic 4G‘s capabilities.

There are suggestions of a 1GHz processor with a WVGA display; something similar to what Sprint is speculated to be planning on their Epic 2.

Well folks, what do you think of Samsung’s first Android-powered slider on Verizon?
