Finally, the curtain’s up on Sprint’s new EVO 3D Android smartphone and EVO View 4G tablet. The carrier has kicked off sales of the HTC devices on a new two-year contract.

HTC EVO 3D, America’s first Android 3D smartphone, comes with 3D screen that uses the glass-less, auto-stereoscopic technology in it, and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread Operating System. It features a 4.3-inch, 960×540 qHD 3D display (which is very impressive while gaming), and is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor. Its dual 5 megapixel cameras can shoot 720p 3D videos and 1080p 2D videos respectively.

Another trait of the EVO 3D is that it enables 3D movies, 3D games and allows capturing and viewing of 3D pictures and videos in HD. The users can turn the 3D-effect on and off with a switch, or move the content to a 3D ready TV using a HDMI cable. It also includes a whopping 1730mAh battery for better performance.

It also needs to be noted that this new handset also runs on the Sprint’s 4G WiMax network enabling super-fast mobile broadband.

On the other hand, the HTC EVO View 4G will be powered by a single-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and will have 32GB internal memory, 1GB RAM and a microSD card slot for additional space. It’ll also have a 7-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display with pinch-to-zoom, a rear 5 mega pixel camera and a front facing 1.3 mega pixel camera.

With such good specs, it’s guaranteed to be a top notch tablet. Moreover, wherever you go, you will get 4G WiMAX data speeds. Sprint has announced the price of the EVO 3D at $199.99, while the EVO View 4G will be sold for $400.

In addition to the EVO View 4G, you will also get the HTC Scribe digital pen (otherwise sold separately), at no additional charge. But this is a limited period offer, so you did better rush to the nearest store and grab your EVO.
