Nokia N9 First MeeGo Smartphone Official; Sleek Model Comes in 3 Sporty Shades [Images and Video Inside]

We all knew that Nokia was working on something different .A blend of Nokia’s MeeGo and Maemo projects has resulted in the birth of the N9. The Nokia N9 is official now and it will be the company’s first MeeGo smartphone. Before we dig up the peripherals under the hood, it has to be said that the model earns 5 stars just for its sleek guise. MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan will run the gadget, well supported by the 1024MB RAM.

Packing a 3.9-inch 854 x 480 AMOLED capacitive touchscreen into a mono block polycarbonate chassis, it can surely beget you a visual treat. N9 measures in at 116.45 x 61.2 x 7.6-12.mm, that’s like saying the N9, would fit well inside your palms for that user friendly usage you expect.

The N9 has pentaband WCDMA for AT&T and T-Mobile USA 3G support, which can give turn-by-turn navigation with Nokia Maps.  Wireless connectivity will be assisted by WiFi a/b/g, Quad band GSM/EDGE, GPS and A-GPS plus the latest version Bluetooth 4.0.

A few of the things that you may fail to notice in the pictures we have for you are the, very limited physical controls (only volume and camera), the home screen accessed with a swipe, three panes showing, apps, notifications and social networks.

The long hardware list comprises a front-facing camera for video calls, an 8-megapixel Carl Zeiss autofocus camera with 720p HD video recording, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB port.

The storage is either 16GB or 64GB and the gadget comes with the 1450 mAh battery, which can give up to 11 hrs GSM talktime or upto 4.5 hrs of 720p HD video playback or upto 50 hrs of music playback.
