Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Now Available for Preorder at Staples; 16 GB Thin Version for $499.99

We all know that the wait for the slimmer version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is still on, but there have been very little made known by Sammy as to till when we will have to wait. As if adding to the thrill, online retailers Best Buy and Future Shop had sometime back listed the 16GB Galaxy Tab 10.1 on their websites for pre-orders. Now it is Staples who has brought forth the device on pre-order.

Best Buy and Future Shop had given us an estimated date as to when the tablet will be available on their warehouses – June 22nd. The news, no doubt, had everything in it to boost the anticipation of shoppers waiting to lay their hands on the 16 GB tablet.

With Staples too becoming the official retailer of this tablet running Android 3.1 Honeycomb, we have yet another place to head for to preorder the device. But unlike the other two, Staples has confirmed availability with a bold “Product Available July 22nd” statement.

Samsung has done away with the SD card slot and replaced the 8 MP camera with a 3MP shooter, making it thinner and lighter than the Apple iPad. Whilst Samsung has also announced an add-on that will convert the 30-pin connector into full USB, enabling connectivity with keyboards, mice and thumb drives.

This Samsung tablet comes as a thinner 16GB version featuring a larger 10.1-inch HD display with a dual-dore NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC. The 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor and 1 GB RAM will ensure a high end processing.

You can head for Staples here to pre order your device for $499.99. Let us remind you, the pricing is the same at Best Buy and Future Shop too.
