Who wouldn’t love a concept like the Swype? Deployed on 26 million phones worldwide, Swype was made available in 50-plus countries last year. If what you have are over-sized fingers and something like a Galaxy Mini with limited touchscreen space, and no Swype to talk about, you would be texting in vain. Cheers to Swype for being such a life saver. We have more happy news, for, the app has received an update – Swype Beta. Take a look at the videos posted after the jump so as to understand the app better.

Developers have pushed out a version 3.0 of Swype Beta. The new Swype packs a whole lot of interesting features, which can make your texting way easier and efficient. The two main additions would be tap correction and horizontal word choice list suggestion bar.

The horizontal word choice list would be replacing the popup word choice window, giving users an experience more in-line with the evolving and innovative Android experience. Dictionary control and word selection is made faster and easier to access.

On Honeycomb devices, you can resize as well as change the position of the keyboard. The point is- you get to choose where to keep your keyboard, you can have it at the left, the centre or right of your tablet.

Swype Beta will support a few more resolution sizes like HVGA, WVGA, FWVGA, QVGA, WQVGA, WSVGA and qHD.

The app has undergone too many alterations. You can download the app upgrade here and experience it yourselves. Please tell us your comments.
