More on iOS 5 here! As you all know, Apple’s new OS is ruling news headlines and here we have for you all the big talk of a new service that allows users to connect with your friends and family like never before. Well, it appears that Facebook would no longer remain the only way to connect with your dear ones, at least for those who posses the new OS update.

We hear the Contacts app can now link people who are related. After selecting a person from the contact list, you can input people related to them in their details.

Those who have been exploring the new iOS 5 update would know this contact app is a helpful handy feature. As it enables labeling people as mother, father, parent, brother, sister, child, friend, spouse, partner, assistant or manager as per the relation, it helps to remember who’s who, especially for those who have got a pretty large contact list.

Besides, it allows custom labeling too as per one’s own wish if the already provided labels are not enough.

Filling in the details of all the contacts is not mandatory – it is just optional. Some people would be reluctant to share such details owing to privacy issues. So that explains what we mean, right?

We have also found that iOS 5 contacts app has fields for Facebook, Flickr, LinkedIn as well as MySpace info. Try that out?
