June 11, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Panasonic had been keeping us waiting for quite sometime now to let us no the pricing and availability details of the new line of camcorders they announced way back. It looks like the company has finally decided on what the tags should have on them.

The manufacturer has announced that the new devices – HM-TA20, HM-TA2, HX-WA10, HX-DC10, and HX-DC1 – will hit stores starting in early July. Among the lot, the Panasonic HX-WA10, HX-DC10, and HX-DC1 are dual cameras.

The pricing details go thus:

  • HM-TA20       $200
  • HM-TA2         $170
  • HX-WA10       $350
  • HX-DC10        $280
  • HX-DC1          $200

The HM-TA20 is a full-HD mobile camera. This compact sized device comes in a rugged design and features waterproof, shockproof as well as dustproof capabilities. It has got the Night View Mode that allows for low light shoots. It shoots in full-HD 1920 x 1080 video, and records in the MPEG-4 AVC file format (MP4). HM-TA20 can also be used as a web camera, for online video chatting. Voice recording capabilities are also thrown in.

The HM-TA2, in the meanwhile, is also a compact and mobile camera with the same features as the HM-TA20, except it is not waterproof, dustproof and shockproof.

The HX-WA10, HX-DC10 and HX-DC1 dual cameras come in an exceptionally cool design, they are easy to hold and there are separate buttons for video and stills. All the three models record video in the MPEG-4 AVC file format (MP4) and can take 2-megapixel still photos while shooting full-HD videos.

July is almost round the bend. You need to tell us which of these Panasonic cuties are you going in for.
