Apple iOS 5 Beta Files Hint at 2 Different iPad 3 Devices and 2 New iPhone Models

Chances are that Apple would bring on to our midst not just one, but two iPad 3 slates simultaneously. Going by what the iOS 5 beta files reveal, indications are that that there can be two versions of the third generation iPad.

We just stumbled upon findings let out by who found different files among the iOS System files that refer to iPad 3,1 and iPad 3,2. Though we haven’t been able to get a confirmation in this regard, analysts go on to claim that they have found suggestions which point to the chances of two iPhone 5 devices too. Doesn’t that sound interesting?

Interestingly, what they found were files referring to iPhone 4,1 and iPhone 4,2. However, the interpretation seems to be accurate since iPhone 5 is just a 4th generation device technically. iPhone 3G was a first generation device which makes it just four generations in the series.

However, a more reliable interpretation of this finding is that files for different versions do not point to different products but the same phone meant for GSM and CDMA networks. Experts say that the news validates many rumors which claimed that the new iPad will come as a global device.

At the same time, the reference to two iPhone devices has been unearthed earlier from the iOS 4.3 beta files. However, another interesting clue given by the analysis of the iOS 5 beta files is that there is no reference to a new iPod Touch device. Does that mean Apple may terminate product refreshing in that series?
