If you have been waiting for a digital camera that would take pride in itself to be the worlds’ smallest and lightest one with interchangeable lens, you are in for some kind of excitement. Sony has lifted the wraps off the NEX-C3, which comes featuring HD Video, a new user friendly interface and possesses 16.2 megapixels resolution as well. In short, this successor to NEX 3 packs all the requirements of professional equipment sans the size and weight of traditional DSLR cameras.

The new design is truly attractive and also helped in visibly shrinking the device’s size. To be precise, it is six percent lighter the NEX-3. The major highlight is the large Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor.

This DSLR-sized sensor has helped in boosting the over all quality of the photographs, resolution as well as produces pro-quality background defocus effect, both in HD and stills.

The new Photo Creativity interface, as mentioned above is absolutely user friendly. The sophisticated camera controls are recreated with easy reach along with changing the professional nomenclature to common words.

The traditional interface is also there for experienced persons and the new one serves the amateur photographers. The Photo Effects setting, multi shot modes and options really make this new member of the NEX range worthy. The device literally eliminates the gap between point and shoots and DSLRs.

Sony NEX-C3 is offered in a range of stylish colors – silver, black and pink. This ultra-compact digital camera will be available this August. The pricing of the device along with an 18-55mm kit zoom lens (model SEL1855) is $650. The device will also be offered only in black with a 16mm lens (model SEL16F28) for about $600.
