June 6, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

In a short while from now, we will get to see some amazing stuff flowing out of the Apple-hosted WWDC event. After witnessing a lot of speculations and rumors with regard to the iPhone 5 already, we will today know whether the device is actually coming today or not.

We cannot give up hope, thanks to the fact that no WWDC event has passed without revealing a brand new device. And so, avid Apple fans wait for this mega event to come every year to see a new member of the iPhone family. However, we have not received any confirmation from the manufacturer’s side regarding any such announcement.

Further, the new functionality and features of iOS 5, the next version of iOS mobile software, will also see the wraps go off at the venue. The brand new interface is being anticipated the world over by iFans. Many new features including that of the automatic app downloads would come by.

The company also has lined up the next version of Mac OS X at WWDC 2011. Dubbed Lion, the feature will be successor to the 10.6 Snow Leopard version. Further, the new cloud service from Apple called ‘iCloud’ will also be unveiled.

We will bring you the latest updates from the venue as they happen.  Stay tuned.
