Nokia Play To App Brings to You the Power of Wireless Sharing of Pictures, Video and Music from Phone to Home Devices [Video]

Okay, we know you are proud owners of those smart Nokia devices that enable you to share photos, videos, music and what not on to your television sets. But then, until now, you have been doing that with the 3.5mm AV jack or the HDMI output you are used to playing with. Have you ever imagined sharing stuff wirelessly? The Finnish phone maker has something for you on that front.

The just revealed Nokia Play To app brings to you the power of wireless sharing. This  allows sharing of content from your phone wirelessly to other DLNA devices.

Offered as a free app, the Nokia Play To app enables sharing photos and videos stored in your smartphone to your DLNA telly, playing music through your home stereo system and the like. To make the app work, you just have to be in the same network as the TV, run the app and start sharing media from your phone.

That of course doesn’t sound complicated at all. All you need to ensure is that you are in a wireless home network and have a DLNA capable TV.  Designed for Nokia smartphones such as N8, E7, C7, C6-01 and X7, the app can help you pick content you want to play from your device by using the Photos, Videos and Music buttons on the screen. Once you have done that, you can view your best pictures and listen to your favorite music on your home entertainment systems.

Now available as a free app at the Nokia Beta Labs, you can take a look at how it works in the video we have for you here. Hit play and you can see a new world opening in front of you.  Tell us what you feel.
