HP TouchPad Comes with Flash Video Support; Aren’t You Excited? (Video)

June 4, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Those of you out there who are waiting to lay your hands on the HP TouchPad tablet will be excited reading this, for sure.  The tablet took center stage recently at the Qualcomm conference for main reason. The device comes with Flash video support!

Not willing to be convinced? We have a video for you (posted below) and we are pretty sure you will believe what we are saying. Considering that Flash video is something Apple’s iPad cannot even attempt to do, the HP TouchPad will be miles ahead in terms of Flash lovers’ ratings when it actually arrives.

If you would remember, Motorola had said that their Xoom tablet would come with Flash playback. Sadly enough, the first Xooms shipped without the ability to run it. Now with TouchPad all set to bring in Flash video support, we are in for better a slate.

Apart from the Flash video support, the TouchPad will come to your midst with capabilities to run multiple applications at a constant pace. You will also be treated with the functionality that lets multiple screens open at once.

The 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060 that powers the HP TouchPad also comes as a bonus, considering that it is the first dual-core processor from the chipmaker. We had told you earlier about spotting the tablet at the SanDisk booth at Computex too, if you would remember.  The report we posted for you then had more or less given you a full account of the device would be like.

Now, here’s the video from CNet that we promised to show you at the beginning of this post.  Tell us if you are excited about the Flash video support the slate will bring along.
