June 3, 2011, By Nicholas Davis

Electronic Arts is set to have one of the most exciting years at E3 2011. With immensely high anticipated titles showing this year including Star Wars: The Old Republic and Mass Effect3 having Battlefield 3 there is overwhelming. What puts the icing on the cake is the fact that Battlefield 3 will have a playable multiplayer demo.

The developers at DICE are ready to have the world play what they have been working so hard on. There will be both single player and multiplayer shown at E3 2011 with new trailers and screen shots releasing sometime next week. Battlefield 3 will be powered by the powerful Frostbite 2 engine and will have some of the biggest and most beautiful looking maps in Battlefield history. Although maps may be huge in scale intense close quarter combat will not be looked down upon. DICE reveals that the multiplayer map ” Operation Metro” will be playable on the show floor.

Some features that will not be showin this year at E3 2011 include the game’s extensive co-op campaign, the introduction of Team Death match mode, and the Battlefield 3 Battle Log. The Battlefield 3 Battle Log allows you to manage your friend list, squad up, create platoons, use voice chat, and allow you to watch your friends progress in real time. Battle Log will be free and we can’t wait to get our hands on more detailed information of what DICE has in store for us.
