The Lord of the Rings War in the North New Screen Shots and Sneak Peek at E3 2011

June 2, 2011, By Nicholas Davis

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Snowblind Studios have been gaining some hype with the anticipated release of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North. A Lord of the Rings take as an action RPG is highly overdue and this title does not look to disappoint. New details are releasing every week and the game looks to get better and better. Features such as massive loot, upgradeable weapons, online co-op, character customization and development, brutal decapitations, and gripping gameplay are sure to make this a title to play this year at E3 2011.

In the trailer shown below you see your fellowship of three, the human, dwarf, and elf racing through the ruins of Fronost. The Fellowship slays their way through hordes of orcs and goblin as they are no trouble at all. Upon doing so they free Beleram which is a giant Eagle who you can use throughout the game. We’ve seen eagles in The Lord of the Rings series before but not like this. You can call Belram down and he will slaughter the battlefield or take out a mini boss in the most gruesome of ways. Calling him down in the right situations may be the deciding factor whether your Fellowship lives or dies.
