E3 2011 Sony Press Conference Confirmed Rumors and Appearances

June 1, 2011, By Nicholas Davis

E3 2011 is nothing but a progressive year for Sony. After that whole PlayStation Network (PSN) hacking fiasco gamers have lost some faith. Hopefully all of that will be regained during their press conference. Sony is set to reveal their new Next Generation Portable (NGP) device and some rumors of a PlayStation 3 price drop has started to circulate like wild fire.

Five of some of the most anticipated titles have been confirmed to be playable at E3 2011. Gamers literally can’t wait to get their hands on these titles.

  • Infamous 2 by Sucker Punch
  • Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One by Insomniac Games
  • Resistance 3 by Insomniac Games
  • Twisted Metal by Eat Sleep Play
  • Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception by Naughty Dog

Most of Sony’s press conference is said to talk about their new NGP. Sony is supposedly revealing the new device and it’s price.

  • Sony will announce the official name for their NGP device.
  • NGP’s release date and pricing will be revealed.
  • Seven first party titles for the hand-held will be announced.
  • Sony will also be allowing E3 attendees to preview the NGP.

Most games from Sony’s lineup have already been leaked. All of the games below have a very high probability of showing up at this years E3.

  • Agent by Rockstar Games
  • God Of War 4 by Santa Monica Studios
  • Grand Theft Auto 5 by Rockstar Games
  • Final Fantasy Versus XIII by Square Enix
  • NGP – Gran Turismo by Polyphony Digital
  • NGP – Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker by Konami
  • NGP – Wipeout: Trinity by Sony
  • PSP remaster series ports to PS3
  • Sly 4 by Sucker Punch
  • Starhawk by Lightbox Interactive
  • The Last Guardian by Team Ico
  • Unnamed Title by Guerrilla Games

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Xperia Play, the first Playstation certified Android smartphone made an appearance as well. Updating software or integration with the PlayStation 3 would be a big surprise.

Sony looks to win E3 2011 with these big name rumors. Hopefully they don’t disappoint.
