Apple iOS 5 Likely to Bring in Twitter Integration; Stay Tuned for June 6th for an Announcement

June 1, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The WWDC 2011 event to be hosted by Apple will get underway on the 6th of this month, and we had told you about the company’s plans to roll out iOS 5 and iCloud at the venue there.  What we are about to tell you has close connection with Apple, but concerns something at Twitter.

As you already know, Twitter was in the works with a new image sharing service. The venture looks like set for roll out and it is expected that they will reveal the service some time this week.

When we say next week, it needs to be seen that the roll out coincides with Apple’s WWDC event. That could also mean that Apple’s upcoming iOS 5 will feature Twitter integration, and will have an option to share images to Twitter built into the OS. This is being positioned to work similar to how YouTube videos can be shared on iOS.

From what get to learn, we believe that the new Twitter integration will be built in to iOS 5. The new venture would mean that Twitter has lined up a major partner in Apple via this service. If plans turn to be true, it is likely that Apple’s new iOS 5 will come with an option to share images to Twitter integrated into iOS 5.

You will be able to do it by just enabling the feature by logging on with your Twitter account in iOS. Pictures on your device can then be transferred by just hitting the “Send to Twitter” option.

Sounds interesting! It seems like so many things are happening in the partnership avenue. Stay tuned for WWDC 2011 to open and you may be in for more good stuff.
