Verizon LG Revolution Smartphone Going on Sale; Pick Yours for $249 and a 2-Year Contract

May 25, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Ever since LG first showed us the Revolution smartphone at the CES pavilion in January, we have been eagerly waiting to lay our hands on the device. Verizon has just made it public that the LG Revolution will be available for us to buy starting this week itself.  That could be read as a few hours as the date mentioned is May 26th.

So, in a few hours time, keep your money ready so that you can part with it and own the device. Verizon’s LG Revolution will be on sale for $249 plus a two-year contract.  Doesn’t that seem okay for a smartphone that sports a 4.3-inch display and comes powered by Android 2.2 Froyo OS? Now if it’s the Froyo factor that makes you think, let us tell you that a Gingerbread update is of course round the bend.

For that money, besides the Froyo OS and the 4.3-inches of screen real estate, , you will get to play with:

  • 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • Rear-facing 5.0 MP camera with autofocus & LED flash
  • 1.3 MP front-facing camera for video chat
  • 4G LTE
  • Access to more than 200,000 Android Market apps
  • Bing Search & Maps
  • Adobe Flash Player
  • 720p HD video recording & playback
  • Wi-Fi connectivity 802.11 b/g/n
  • Mobile Hotspot capability  (Share 4G LTE with up to 8 Wi-Fi devices or a 3G connection with up to 5 devices)
  • Bluetooth 3.0
  • Virtual QWERTY keyboard with SWYPE
  • Dolby Mobile
  • 16 GB preinstalled microSD card

Now tell us, are you are ready for May 26th?
