HTC Desire S Gets a Red Attire on Vodafone UK; Nothing Else Has Changed

May 25, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Flaunting unusual colors on your mobile can be fun, right? Vodafone UK knows that well. After having brought to UK customers the much spoken about HTC Desire S a month back, the carrier is now offering the device clad in red. The exclusive red variant of the HTC Desire S is now yours to pick.

The Android smartphone is currently available only in black. With Vodafone UK unveiling an exclusive red model, it seems like the carrier looks to bring more customers under their service umbrella.

The phone can now be yours for free if you agree to sign on the dotted line for a new 24-month contract. That will make the costs at least £30 per month, which is the same as the existing price. For that amount of money, you will be treated to 600 minutes, unlimited texts, and 500 MB of data.

If you are looking at another pricing option, let us tell you the HTC Desire S is also available on a cheaper, £25 per month plan. To avail of this you will have to spend £99 for the handset, and the plan will give you 100 minutes, 500 texts, and 500 MB of data.

Now, if you have assumed that the exclusive red hued device will bring you some additional specs, you are wrong. For, nothing else has changed, except the color. So, as you know, the device will have the regular 1GHz single-core Qualcomm processor, a 3.1-inch capacitive touch-screen display with Gorilla Glass, 768MB of RAM, a 5MP camera with autofocus, LED flash and 720p video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G.

If you are looking to talk and browse on a red hued device, you may go head for Vodafone UK here and check out the plans on offer. Tell us if the red attire has made any difference to you.
